Abstract
In a recent issue of Cell, Thaiss et al. (2016) report that gut microbiota exhibit diurnal rhythmicity in biogeographical localization and metabolomics during the 24 hr light-dark cycle. This oscillation, together with the host circadian clock, co-regulates the colonic and hepatic epigenome and transcriptome.Mesh:
