Abstract
This study found that women with prospective reports of premenstrual dysphoria could be significantly differentiated from others on self-report measures of anxiety, depression and negative self-statements. Women who reported premenstrual dysphoria retrospectively but not prospectively did not significantly differ from controls on any of these measures using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the Beck Depression Inventory and the Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire. Issues for further investigation are highlighted.Entities:
