Abstract
Gastrointestinal cancers are among the most frequent tumors. Although most cases are sporadic, up to 5-6% develops in the context of gastrointestinal hereditary syndromes. These entities have specific characteristics and often a germline mutation identified, thus allowing performing genetic counseling. This review summarizes the most common gastrointestinal hereditary syndromes, focusing on the surveillance recommendations.Entities:
