[The idealisator--a functional end appliance made of a pliable plastic].

H G Sergl.

Abstract

A new appliance, the idealisator is presented. Its form has been derived from the original activator, but is made from soft acrylic following a set-up whereby the teeth are arranged in an ideal occlusion. This appliance could be an alternative to the Kesling positioner. By comparison it seems to have some advantages.
