Abstract
Neurons and axons were counted in normal L7 dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and dorsal roots of cats from 2 months to 11 years of age. Over this time period no change in neuronal but a slight increase in axonal numbers were observed. These findings indicate that in contrast to previous reports on male rat lumbar ganglia, neurogenesis in cat DRG does not continue into adulthood.Entities:
