Abstract
BACKGROUND: Public attitudes to mental illness could influence how the public interact with, provide opportunities for, and help people with mental illness. More positive attitudes towards people with mental illness were characterized as—lower ‘social distancing’, higher ‘tolerance/support for community care’, lower ‘social restrictiveness’, and lower ‘prejudice and misconception’.
