Abstract
Anticentromere antibody (ACA) was previously described as a serological marker for CREST, progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS), Raynaud's syndrome (RS) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). We have observed ACA appearing and disappearing during D-penicillamine (DPA) treatment in six patients without any features of CREST, PSS, RS, PBC or related syndromes.
