[Drug induced liver injury].

Hans Christian Spangenberg.

Abstract

The incidence of drug induced liver injury (DILI) has been reported to be between 14 - 20 per 100 000 inhabitants. The diagnosis of DILI is based on an accurate anamnesis and exclusion of other liver diseases. Drugs most commonly involved in DILI belong to the classes of antibiotics and analgetics. The most important therapeutic issue is to identify and withdraw the toxic compound. © Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart · New York.
