Two Bugs a NOD Away from Improving Cancer Therapy Efficacy.

Romina E Araya1, Romina S Goldszmid2.

Abstract

It has recently become apparent that the gut microbiota modulates the response to cancer therapy. In this issue of Immunity, Daillère et al. (2016) identified two bacterial species potentiating the anti-tumor effect of cyclophosphamide that are kept in check by the sensor NOD2. Published by Elsevier Inc.
