Abstract
Buprenorphine (3 micrograms kg-1) was given intravenously as premedication to small children (age 4-7 years) undergoing minor surgery. Because of the rapid decline of the plasma buprenorphine concentrations, the terminal elimination half-life could not be estimated reliably. Given this constraint, values of clearance appeared to be higher than those in adults but values of Vss were similar.Entities:
