Abstract
Sensitivity of microflora sampled from the dental root channels of periodontitis patients to chlorhexidine, dioxidine, quinosol, Metrodgile was investigated. Chlorhexidine and dioxidine were shown to act predominantly on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, Metrodgile most active against anaerobic flora. High antibacterial activity of quinosol and chlorhexidine was combined with their pronounced cytotoxic effects. Metrodgile could be successfully used for preventing purulent odontogenic inflammations caused by anaerobic flora.Entities:
