Abstract
Mycobacterium chimaera is a recently described species distinct from M. intracellulare. M. chimaera is regarded as less virulent than M. intracellulare. Using multi-locus sequence-based identification, M. chimaera lung disease was diagnosed in 11 patients. Clinical characteristics and outcomes of M. chimaera lung disease were comparable to M. intracellulare lung disease.Entities:
