Abstract
Sciatic nerve regeneration through implanted silicone tubes was compared to allogenic nerve grafting in 30 adult female Sprague-Dawley rats. Regeneration was assessed at 10, 24, and 90 days post-transection. Axonal regrowth through the implanted neural prostheses was evaluated with electromyography and histologic examination.Entities:
