Abstract
Ellagic acid is a natural anti-oxidant phenol found in numerous fruits and vegetables, in particular pomegranate, persimmon, raspberry, black raspberry, strawberry, peach, plumes, nuts (walnuts, almonds), and wine. The anti-proliferative and anti-oxidant properties of ellagic acid have prompted research into its potential health benefits. The aim of this chapter will be to summarize potential benefits of ellagic acid supplementation in chronic diseases.Entities:
