Abstract
This pilot study was designed to determine if prior reports of abnormal electroretinograms (ERGs) in autism could be confirmed and, if so, could patterns of family transmission be identified. Abnormal ERG recordings were obtained from six of the 10 subjects tested two of four autistic probands, two of four siblings, and two fathers. No family patterns emerged from our small sample, but the results point to the need to extend this interesting new area or research.Entities:
