Abstract
The goal of this article is to illustrate the current minimal invasive approaches to patients with epiphrenic diverticulum in terms of preoperative evaluation, surgical technique, and outcomes. Two techniques will be presented: a laparoscopic and a video-assisted thoracic repair. Indications for each technique will be discussed as well as proper patient selection and management. Current controversies in the treatment of patients with this rare disease will be addressed.Entities:
