Abstract
Naloxone administration to fasting normal male volunteers reverses the acute ethanol-induced increase in the blood [lactate]/[pyruvate] ratio, but fails to lower blood-ethanol concentration. The results are discussed in relation to factors affecting ethanol elimination and the mechanism of antagonism of acute alcohol intoxication by naloxone.Entities:
