Abstract
Endoscopic technique allows visualization of the protympanic segment of the eustachian tube in patients undergoing chronic ear surgery. Balloon dilatation of the area can be undertaken with clear widening of the obstructed areas. This article discusses the authors' approach and experience with transtympanic dilatation of the eustachian tube. It includes case selection, technique, immediate postprocedure evaluation, and results, with multiple case presentations and videos.Entities:
