Abstract
The neuronal specificity of acupoints has not been entirely supported by the results of previous functional magnetic resource imaging studies. This study tested the specificity of an acupoint using right Rangu (KI 2) and its sham acupoint. The results showed specific cerebral response patterns and thus provided the evidence of the existence of acupoint neuronal specificity. Keywords: Rangu acupoint; acupuncture; fMRI; sham acupoint
