Abstract
BACKGROUND: Growing up with one parent is associated with economic hardship and health disadvantages, but there is limited evidence of its lifetime consequences. Maximum income level is based on state taxation from the same period. For each recorded year, taxable incomes were log transformed and standardised separately for men and women
