Abstract
<ce:para>Primary healthcare is a term that is frequently used, but rarely defined. This article explores this concept and identifies two different understandings of primary healthcare, both derived from the Alma Ata Declaration. For as long as the expression &#8220;primary healthcare&#8221; corresponds to two types of contents, either level of care, or a global approach of the health system, the term should be clarified before being used.</ce:para>.Entities:
