Abstract

Separation of thecis- andtrans-isomers of 1,2-benzylidene glyceryl esters has not yet been achieved by column or gas liquid chromatography. However these isomers were separated by thin layer chromatography in the present study and the parent cyclic alcohols regenerated by alkaline hydrolysis.
