Trends in mortality from ischaemic heart disease: Republic of Ireland 1951-1971.

J P Kevany1, J S McCormick1.

Abstract

SOURCES of statistical bias in mortality data for ischaemic heart disease are discussed and current trends in Ireland are examined by cohort analysis. Mortality in middle aged males continued to rise progressively while an overall decline in female mortality was evident for the study period.
