Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Decreased adiponectin and increased leptin plasma concentrations are believed to be associated with the occurrence and progression of cancers such as endometrial cancer and breast cancer. The aim of this study was to explore the association of plasma adiponectin and leptin levels with the development and progression of ovarian cancer.Entities:

Fig. 1Differences in adiponectin and leptin levels in the control and ovarian cancer groups. (A) Differences in adiponectin concentrations (µg/mL) between the control and cancer groups. (B) Differences in leptin concentrations (ng/mL) between the control and cancer groups. The ends of the box represent the 25th and 75th percentile, the lines that extend out the top and bottom of the box indicate the highest and the lowest values that are not outliers or extreme values, and a horizontal line inside box shows the median.
Fig. 2Differences in adiponectin and leptin in early stage and advanced stage. (A) Differences in adiponectin concentrations (µg/mL) between early stage (I and II) and advanced stage (III and IV). (B) Differences in leptin concentrations (ng/mL) between early stage (I and II) and advanced stage (III and IV). The ends of the box represent the 25th and 75th percentile, the lines that extend out the top and bottom of the box indicate the highest and the lowest values that are not outliers or extreme values, and a horizontal line inside box shows the median.
Fig. 3Differences in leptin concentrations (ng/mL) between non-serous type and serous type ovarian cancer. The ends of the box represent the 25th and 75th percentile, the lines that extend out the top and bottom of the box indicate the highest and the lowest values that are not outliers or extreme values, and a horizontal line inside box shows the median.
