a Gastrointestinal symptoms included abdominal pain, discomfort, soreness, and dyspepsia.
b This category included patients diagnosed with gastric cancer by the first endoscopy performed.
EGC, early gastric cancer; AGC, advanced gastric cancer; ESD, endoscopic submucosal dissection; SD, standard deviation.

(B) The proportion of lesions that fulfilled the expanded indications for endoscopic submucosal dissection (red) and lesions treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection (blue) according to the interval between endoscopic examinations.
Lesion size according to the interval between endoscopic examinations. Sky blue, ≤2 cm; deep sky blue, 2–5 cm; slate blue, >5 cm. *This category included patients diagnosed with gastric cancer by the first endoscopy performed. EGC, early gastric cancer; ESD, endoscopic submucosal dissection.
