Abstract
In brief Because of their skeletal immaturity, children and adolescents are subject to a somewhat different set of overuse knee injuries than are adults. Described here are the diagnosis and treatment for the most common growth-related causes of knee pain in active young people: Osgood-Schlatter disease, Sinding-Larsen-Johansson disease, osteochondritis dissecans, bipartite patella, medial plica syndrome, and discoid meniscus. In most cases these conditions respond to conservative treatment.Entities:
