Hyperactive Children: Which Sports Have the Right Stuff?

J L Alexander.

Abstract

In brief: The number of children diagnosed as hyperactive continues to grow each year. And a question often arises about whether athletic activity is appropriate for these children. Evidence strongly suggests that not only is it appropriate, but that certain sports can improve self-esteem and can make them feel less like oddities among their peers.
