Fungal ribosomal vaccines. II. Dermatophyte vaccine--initial studies on the antigenicity of a crude ribosomal fraction from Microsporum canis.

D Elad1, E Segal.

Abstract

A crude ribosomal fraction was extracted from Microsporum canis. The ratio of spectrophotometric readings at 260 and 280 nm was 1.56 and the nucleic acid to protein ratio of the fraction was 1.5. A delayed intradermal hypersensitivity test in guinea pigs was positive and dose related.
