Abstract

A clinical report of a 67-year-old woman who developed reversible acute renal failure due to focal glomerulonephritis with severe nephrotic syndrome is presented. The patient required four weeks' dialysis treatment but recovered completely. The role of temporary dialysis and diuretics on the clinical course and the reversibility of the process in old age is discussed.
