Abstract
We report the case of a 19-year-old male patient who presented with a permanent junctional reciprocating tachycardia (PJRT). After a primarily successful radiofrequency ablation of a para-Hisian, midseptal, accessory pathway, recurrence of tachycardia was documented. Thereafter, successful ablation using cryoenergy was performed. Since this second ablation the patient has been free of tachycardia. Our case study shows that the treatment of PJRT in young adults using cryoenergy can be successfully and safely conducted, especially after tachycardia recurrence following an initial radiofrequency ablation.Entities:
