Abstract
Aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) is a rare and dangerous complication of foreign body ingestion. Endovascular angioplasty has now become a useful option to control fatal hemorrhage, but it still remains controversial to whether endovascular stenting could be used as a definitive procedure or as a temporary measure before definitive surgical treatment. We have successfully treated two AEF cases using thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) as definitive treatment to close aortic defect. The separate 2-year and 6-month follow-ups show that patients are in good condition.Entities:
