Comparison of extensive brain calcification in postoperative hypoparathyroidism on CT and NMR scan.

C Lang1, W Huk, J Pichl.

Abstract

A case of postoperative hypoparathyroidism is presented in which calcifications seen on CT scan were differently visualized on T2 weighted NMR images. High and low signal intensities may reflect different stages of the calcifying process thus confirming neuropathological findings.
