Abstract
We demonstrate a laser diode-pumped dual-cavity high-power fiber laser emitting at 1150 nm. The laser employs Yb and Raman gains simultaneously. The fiber laser with a simple structure achieves high-efficiency operation while efficiently suppressing the amplified spontaneous emission and parasitic oscillation. The maximum output power at 1150 nm is 110.8 W, with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 57%. Further power scaling at 1150 nm is expected with the optimization of the system design.Year: 2016 PMID: 27168299 DOI: 10.1364/AO.55.003824
