Abstract
PET and PET/CT imaging are increasingly used in pediatric oncology; however, their role is still evolving. Studies have shown an incremental impact of PET imaging on the management of childhood malignancies. Gastrointestinal tumors have low incidence in children and PET has proved useful in many of them. Overall, the published data support the exceptional diagnostic capability of PET and PET-CT imaging. This article presents insight through the available literature on pediatric gastrointestinal oncology.Entities:
