Abstract
BACKGROUND: In 1987, the U.S. unintended pregnancy rate was 59 per 1,000 women aged 15-44; the rate fell to 54 in 2008. Over this period, American women experienced dramatic demographic shifts, including an aging population that was better educated and more racially and ethnically diverse.Entities:
