Abstract
The illness is described of a 25-year-old man with an 18-year history of ulcerative colitis, who presented with obstructive jaundice due to a carcinoma of the bile duct. Terminally, he developed acute symptomatic hepatic venous occlusion due to extrinsic compression of the ostia of the hepatic veins. This was caused by a large mass of intrahepatic metastatic tumour.Entities:
