Abstract
Analysis of intravenous pyelograms performed in the Darwin Hospital over the five-year period, 1970-1974, showed that 9% of the examinations carried out on non-Aboriginal patients demonstrated calculi in the renal tract. Although considerably fewer pyelograms had been performed on Aboriginal patients, only one showed a calculus. The result has been shown to be highly significant and is discussed in relation to racial and other differences between the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people of the Northern Territory.Entities:
