Mediators: interleukin (IL)-6, IL-10, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 5 (CCL5)/regulated and normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES), chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand (CXCL)8/IL-8, CXCL10/ interferon-gamma-inducible protein 10 (IP-10), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9, MMP-13, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1), tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA), plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI-1) and nerve growth factor (NGF).
