Abstract
AKT inhibitors represent promising therapeutics for cancers with PI3K-AKT pathway hyperactivation. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Wang et al. (2016) report the unexpected finding that ablation of AKT signaling in hepatocytes leads to hepatocellular carcinoma and enhances the incidence of lung metastases in a toxin-induced liver cancer model.Entities:
