A lifetime treatment episode with recorded ICD-10 or ICD-9 classified diagnosis of a mental disorder (ICD-10:F10–F34, F40–F42, not F41.1; ICD-9: 291–292, 295–298, 300 (not 300.02), 303–305) in a Finnish general, mental, prison, or private hospital or inpatient ward of a local health centre.
