This meeting is being hosted by Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, 20-22 April 2016 at The Sage, Gateshead. The full abstracts of the platform presentations are followed by the titles of those submissions accepted as posters. The order of abstracts is that of presentation. These papers are 'published in advance of the meeting. If any papers are subsequently withdrawn or not read to the society, an addendum to this effect will be published in the next issue of the journal.
