Stroke-like migraine attack after cranial radiation therapy: the SMART syndrome.

Abstract

We describe a patient who experienced a prolonged episode of headache, drowsiness, seizure, unilateral weakness, delusion and hallucination due to a stroke-like migraine attack after cranial radiation therapy. Stroke-like migraine attack after radiation therapy (SMART) syndrome is a rare complication of therapeutic brain irradiation. Published by the BMJ Publishing Group Limited.
