Abstract
Clinical retinopathy eventually develops in the majority of insulin dependent diabetics during several decades of metabolic abnormality. Early structural lesions short of clinical significance may occasionally be detected in children much more frequently, however, after puberty. Major factors modulating the development of retinopathy are duration of diabetes, glycemic control and blood pressure.Entities:
