Abstract
Leg length discrepancy (LLD) is one of the most common complications of total hip arthroplasty. It may cause pain and disability to the patient, and it is the number one reason for filing a lawsuit against an orthopaedic surgeon. This manuscript reviews the preparation for and execution of the operative plan with emphasis on avoiding pitfalls leading to LLD. It also considers the treatment of LLD in the postoperative period.Entities:
