Abstract
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia leading to hospital admissions. Catheter ablation has evolved as an effective treatment strategy; however, ablation strategies continue to evolve due to the complex and multifactorial nature of atrial fibrillation. A standardized and primarily anatomical approach may not be sufficient to eliminate all mechanisms of atrial fibrillation. A tailored ablation strategy can target specific triggers and drivers of atrial fibrillation; however, it is limited by the accuracy and sensitivity of the methods used in identifying specific mechanisms of atrial fibrillation.Entities:
