Abstract
BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have suggested that nutritional intake is related to allergic diseases. Although conflicting results exist, fat intake is often associated with allergic diseases. We investigated the relationship between allergic diseases and nutritional intake after adjusting for various demographic and socioeconomic factors in a large, representative sample of Korean children.Entities:

Fig 1A flow sheet of participant selection in the present study.
Among a total of 25,534 participants, participants under 4 or over 13 years old or participants without record of nutritional survey, allergic diseases history, and other incomplete data was excluded. Resultant 3,040 participants were comprised of 2,369 participants with allergic rhinitis, 2,858 participants with asthma, and 2,569 participants with atopic dermatitis.
