Abstract
Fibrous hamartoma of infancy is a rare, benign lesion of the superficial soft tissue, typically presenting within the first 2 years of life, and usually located on the upper extremities, axilla, and upper back. Lesions affecting the orbit have not been reported previously. We report the case of a 7-month-old boy with orbital fibrous hamartoma of infancy. He had a right hypertropia and a limitation of infraduction in the right eye. A mass on the right anteroinferior orbit involving the inferior rectus and inferior oblique muscles was seen on magnetic resonance imaging. Hamartoma of infancy was confirmed through pathologic examination. Right hypertropia and limitation of infraduction moderately improved after surgery.Entities:
