Abstract
New Zealand has unenviably high rates of bacterial resistance to topical antimicrobials. In this Viewpoint, we review the history and usage of topical antimicrobials in New Zealand, and suggest some strategies to mitigate further increases in antimicrobial resistance to topical agents.Mesh:
