Abstract
Whole-body magnetic resonance imaging (WBMRI) is a fast and accurate method for detecting and monitoring of diseases throughout the entire body without exposure to ionizing radiation. Among emerging non-oncological potential applications of WBMRI, rheumatological diseases play an important role. Rheumatological WBMRI applications include the evaluation of chronic multifocal recurrent osteomyelitis, dermatomyositis, fever of unknown origin, arthritis, and connective tissue diseases. Aim of this review is to give an overview of the use of WBMRI in rheumatological field.Entities:
