Abstract
Non-necrotizing epithelioid granuloma has been described within the stroma of malignancies like carcinomas of the breast and colon, seminoma, and Hodgkin's lymphoma. They are designated as sarcoid-like reaction, in absence of any evidence of systemic sarcoidosis. But granulomatous reaction in association with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is uncommon, with only few published reports in the literature. This reaction may have some prognostic importance also. We describe a rare case of conventional (clear cell) RCC associated with epithelioid granulomas within the tumor parenchyma, in a 42-year-old lady without any evidence of systemic sarcoidosis.Entities:
